- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Brian of Sea Island Appraisal came out to do an appraisal of my home on a 1.1 acre lot on Lady's Island. After doing a walk through he sent an appraisal a couple of days later to the lawyers. My house is in a subdivision of $750,000 to $1.200,000 homes. He came up with an appraisal of $640,000. His comps were based on homes with 1/5 the lot size,2/3 the house size, no views other then an alley on 2 homes, etc. My opinion is that he couldn't apprise an outhouse. Totally incompetent and not knowledgeable of the market. Since his appraisal; the house directly across the street as well as the one next door both sold for $760,000. they are the same size ,same lots etc. Very unhappy with the Listing price I was forced to accept.By Glenn Poisson, February 24, 2017
